Rutong Shares is a full-industry-chain enterprise with more than six decades of history, specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of wellhead tools and equipment for oil drilling and production. The company ranks among the Top 50 in China’s petroleum and petrochemical equipment manufacturing sector and is recognized as a national-level high-tech enterprise as well as a “Little Giant” enterprise under the national Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative program. Its product technology and quality consistently lead the industry; in addition to serving the domestic market, the company has been exporting to international markets across North and South America, the Middle East, Central Asia, Russia, Southeast Asia, and North Africa for over two decades. Rutong Shares was listed on the Main Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2016 (stock code: 603036).
The company occupies a site spanning more than 200,000 square meters and is equipped with over 800 state-of-the-art machining and inspection machines, establishing a fully integrated, end-to-end manufacturing system that encompasses R&D and design, casting, heat treatment, machining, final assembly, and sales and service. It boasts a 10,000-ton-class casting capacity, a provincial-level intelligent heat-treatment line, a municipal-level intelligent CNC production line, and a comprehensive testing laboratory. Additionally, the company operates domestically leading production lines for “three hoists and one chuck” (hoist shackles, lifting rings, lifting clamps, and collets/chucks) as well as for rail transit products.
The company is committed to driving enterprise growth through technological innovation and has developed a comprehensive product portfolio covering oil and gas drilling, workover, and well-repair operations. This portfolio includes a wide range of equipment such as various types of elevators and slips, lifting shackles, power and manual tongs, hydraulic and pneumatic slips, manual slips and slips, workover automation systems, and mechanical and hydraulic casing-running tools. In 2023, the company successfully supplied high-end products—including 1,000-ton-class hydraulic elevators, manual elevators, specialized lifting shackles, and power slips—to domestic 10,000-meter drilling rigs, and its workover automation systems have also entered mass production and delivery. The company is continuously advancing the transformation and upgrading of its products, shifting from traditional manual tools toward mechanization, automation, and intelligent solutions.
Enterprise Products
CDZY 1000 Hydraulic Elevating Clamp
The CDZY1000 hydraulic elevator is equipment used to elevate drill strings on China’s first 15,000-meter fully automated drilling rig. By simply replacing the liner, it can reliably and conveniently suspend drill pipes with tapers, heavy-weight drill collars, casing, tubing, and other drill-string components. The product is designed and manufactured in strict accordance with API Spec 8C, “Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment.” It features a lightweight design, high load-carrying capacity, and a high degree of automation. Equipped with an electro-hydraulic control system, it is easy to operate and can be seamlessly integrated with pipe-handling systems such as power catheads. When used in conjunction with top drives and second-floor robotic arms, it effectively reduces worker labor intensity, enhances the level of automation in drilling operations, and ensures safer and more reliable operation.
SE1250 Elevator/Chuck
The SE-series elevator/pipe tong is a pneumatically operated, mechanized tool designed and manufactured in accordance with API Spec 8C, “Specification for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment.” It features convenient operation, a wide range of applications, high safety and reliability, and reduced labor intensity. The SE1250 elevator/pipe tong is the highest-capacity model in our current R&D and production lineup of this series, specifically tailored to meet the demanding requirements of ultra-deep wells exceeding 10,000 meters in depth. It is suitable for casing sizes ranging from 13⅜″ to 24″ and can withstand a maximum load of 11,120 kN.
Y495-4 Hydraulic Slip
The Y495 hydraulic slip is a tool used in ultra-deep well operations for gripping and holding drill strings during oil and gas drilling. Featuring a compact, safe, and reliable design, it significantly reduces workers’ physical labor and enhances operational efficiency. This hydraulic slip boasts high load-carrying capacity and a high degree of automation. The product is equipped with an electro-hydraulic control system that is easy to operate and enables interlocking with hydraulic elevators, thereby improving operational safety. The equipment is mounted on the rotary table, with its upper body aligned flush with the table surface, facilitating the operation of power tongs and manual pipe handlers.
DH1000 Single-Arm Hanging Ring
Our company’s DH single-arm lifting shackle is designed and manufactured in accordance with API Spec 8C, the Specification for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment. The shackle is forged as a single piece from high-strength alloy steel and undergoes special heat treatment, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. The DH1000 single-arm lifting shackle is specifically developed by our company to match 1,000-ton hydraulic and manual elevators, as well as elevator/chuck assemblies, for use on 10,000-meter drilling rigs; it features simple installation and high tensile capacity.
Minor Repair Automation Workstation
The XGC 89/4-1Q minor-repair automated operation unit is an automation system designed for workover operations on oil and water wells in oilfields. It is available in skid-mounted and truck-mounted configurations and comprises a hydraulic elevator, automatic hydraulic tong, robotic arm, plug-valve conveying system, pneumatic chuck, adaptive platform, catwalk pipe-arranging device, and integrated control system. Its primary functions include: 1) unmanned wellhead operations; 2) enabling one operator to perform tubing and sucker-rod running and pulling; 3) a tubing and rod running speed of 40–45 strings per hour; 4) conveying tubing and rods between the pipe-arranging rack and the wellhead; 5) automatic make-up and break-out of tubing and rod connections; 6) suspension and holding of tubing and rods; 7) automated pushing and guiding of tubing and rods; and 8) one-button emergency blowout prevention (automatic loading and unloading of plug valves).
